The Digital Marketing Communications Specialist will be a key member of the Marketing team. This individual will provide invaluable support and assistance to key Marketing initiatives and tactics for Summer@Wellesley and related programs. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this is a highly visible role in a small, growing team within Wellesley College. Requires independent initiative, outstanding organizational skills and experience in communications and social media. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital advertising and utilizes brand and consumer insights to drive business outcomes through smart and innovative solutions. This is a role with room to grow, and additional opportunities may be available based on skills, qualifications, and interests of the successful candidate.
Job Responsibilities Assist in the development and execution of strategy and integrated marketing plans Creation of robust, relevant and ongoing content tied to the team’s overall digital strategy, including identifying needs and proposing solutions for blogs, newsletters, videos Oversee the development and maintenance of the Summer@Wellesley website including creating, updating, editing, and proofreading web pages and ensuring SEO best practices are adhered to Manage social media presence (i.e., SnapChat, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram) including editorial calendar planning and creation, copywriting, ongoing monitoring and generating posts Monitor media campaigns and when needed, have campaign performance meetings internally to review and optimize results. Maintain/manage marketing budgets and adherence to timelines Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, outside agencies and cross-functional teams.
This is a 14 hour/week casual wage position.

Experience Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related discipline Minimum 2-years experience in Communications, with consideration to be given to related internships (industry or agency-based) Experience with CMS (i.e. Drupal) and CRM (i.e. MailChimp) systems a plus
