| About the Position: The Director of Athletics Marketing and Special Events will play an integral role and is responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and promotion plans for the Western athletic department in order to market, promote, brand and enhance all facets of the athletic department while fostering innovative and collaborative efforts to engage the students, staff, alumni, supporters and prospective fans of WWU. |
Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Community Engagement and working closely with administrators and coaches throughout the department, this position will plan and execute a large number and variety of special events from small donor gatherings to annual fundraisers, handing the details of the event from beginning to end.
The Director of Athletics Marketing and Special Events will be responsible for the overall management and daily operations of assigned areas, which includes supervision and delegation of work assignments.
