Under general supervision, this position manages, develops and participates in promoting, selling and marketing of the Parks and Recreation Department, its programs, its facilities, and its services locally and regionally. Incumbents in this position are responsible for the development and coordination of sales, promotion and marketing of all Recreation and Aquatic Annual Passes to ensure maximum profitability for membership sales, program revenue, special events and rentals; interfaces with the various media outlets, solicits sponsorships, produces marketing materials to promote Parks and Recreation programs, services and events and provides information to the public through various social media outlets.
At least four (4) years of progressively responsible marketing experience in a health club or recreation center setting, two (2) years in a supervisory capacity is desired.
Experience with social media marketing is required.
Experience in a public sector/government environment preferred.
Must possess a valid Missouri Driver's License.
Must have professional presentation skills; experience operating audio/video equipment is preferred.
Must possess or be able to obtain a first-aid/CPR certification
Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, graphic design software, and web content management applications.
