Reporting to the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, this key community member oversees and champions all marketing, communications, and branding for the school. Working across various departments, most notably Development, Admissions, Academics, and Athletics, this position serves in many capacities to advance the mission and advancement of the school community. Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Work with the President, Vice President for Development, and Principal to build a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy for the school community.
Oversee the process and utilization of intentional tools such as communications audits, market surveys, focus groups, and demographic studies to guide marketing and communications direction for the school.
In collaboration with the Office of Admission, plan and execute a new marketing strategy for enrollment management and new student admissions.
In collaboration with the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, manage the process of marketing for the Bosco Fund, various alumni engagement pieces and events, and strategic positioning for a major public capital campaign within the next 3-5 years.
Establish marketing direction for Athletics and Arts programs, as needed.
Partner with the Principal, ensuring that faculty and students’ academic excellence and extracurricular activity in the school is communicated to a broad range of constituencies, including prospective families, current families, and alumni and their families.
Provide oversight of all external print and audio/visual media; working with the Publications Manager to ensure the strategic value and timely publishing of the alumni newsletter.
Ensure the updating and accuracy of the school’s website.
Develop a social media strategy that effectively engages all aspects of the school’s life.
Support the Vice President of Development in their role as the main media and external contact for the school.
Other tasks as assigned by the President and/or Vice President of the school.
Some night and weekend work is required.
A Bachelor’s Degree along with 5-7 years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in an academic institution.
A basic knowledge of the greater Los Angeles and North Orange County secondary school market.
Familiar with the values and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.
Experience working with vendors and agencies in brand management and marketing campaigns.
A creative, collaborative thinker who thrives in a dynamic and changing environment.
