Work Location: CMLA’s Business Office: 4380 S. Syracuse St., Suite 315 Denver, CO 80237 Occasional telework: Situational- primarily works onsite except for specific employer-approved situations or arrangements, or during emergencies.
Purpose: Create communications that effectively describe and promote CMLA through email, web, print, and social media marketing.
Responsibilities: •Develop and maintain website content for events, programs, and other CMLA webpages using HTML and CSS •Design and code email marketing campaigns using HTML and CSS •Assist the Events and Programs Manager with CRM database management •Design direct mail campaigns, event program guides and brochures, and event posters •Design print materials for events and programs using the Adobe Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator •Post about CMLA events, programs, and industry news on social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our newly created Snapchat account •Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and website content using Google Analytics •Create Google AdWords, Instagram Ads, Snapchat Ads, and Facebook Ads for CMLA events and programs •Design graphics and logos for events and programs •Build and maintain relationships with the association’s vendors •Work with staff and volunteers for event prep and on-site event execution •Discusses membership benefits with potential and existing members by phone, email and in-person at events •Design, distribute, and collect post-event surveys and data Other Miscellaneous Responsibilities: •CMLA Photographer at events •Answer phone calls and general email inquires •Make and mail Certified Mortgage Lender (CML) designation plaques •Keep track of CMLA supplies inventory with multiple vendors and reorder supplies as needed •Ability to lift 40 pounds
Must Have Skills and Experience: •Strong HTML and CSS coding skills •Demonstrated experience using the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.) •Working knowledge of Google analytics and basic understanding of search-based campaigns •Detail oriented and organized •Strong proofreading and editing skills •Excellent written and oral communication for interacting with staff, members, protentional members, CMLA board, and committee members •Experience working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, managing and tracking multiple projects •Self-starter, willing to alternate between independent and team work •Management of outside association resources, partners, and vendors •Experience with photography and video with both a digital camera and cell phone for posting on social media •Maintain compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act for email promotions
Additional Preferred Experience: •CRM experience including data management and reporting (CiviCRM) •Development and managing of a marketing plan •Trade Association or Nonprofit background is preferred •Press release writing and distributing •Volunteer supervising experience •Video editing and production experience is a plus
