Posting Summary: The UVA Bookstore is looking for a positive, professional, energetic Marketing Coordinator to promote the Bookstore, its satellite stores, and Cavalier Computer's merchandise and services through various marketing initiatives to UVA students, faculty, staff and departments and, when appropriate, to the community at large. Serves as the ambassador of the Bookstore and Cavalier Computers team in a supportive role through various marketing platforms which include outreach, print and digital advertising, email, events, radio ads, and social media. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Two years experience in marketing
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Experienced Marketing in a retail environment preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Use of Microsoft Word for the creation and editing of advertising copy, surveys, etc., use of graphics applications for layout and design of advertising, ability to proofread documents to ensure accuracy of marketing material, current social media platforms. Experience in Google Analytics.
