Brookhaven at Lexington is seeking a Director of Marketing for our Continuing Care Retirement/Life Plan Community in Lexington, Massachusetts. Brookhaven has a vibrant wait list and is currently undergoing a campus expansion project that will increase our number of independent units from 240 to 289. We offer a full continuum of care to serve our independent, assisted care and nursing home residents and do not take outside admissions to our nursing home. The Director of Marketing reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will oversee the Marketing Department, ensuring high quality marketing services that maintain positive relations with our prospective and current residents, guests, and staff and uphold Brookhaven’s mission and objectives. Will establish policies and procedures that result in exceptional services, solicit feedback, recommend changes/additions to Marketing operations, and maintain effective communication systems with all stakeholders.
• Ensure Resident satisfaction relating to Marketing department. • Create a welcoming atmosphere for potential residents and their families. • Maintain regulatory compliance with applicable agencies. • Develop and implement marketing plan to maintain a high occupancy level at all times, as well as to maintain a viable and "ready" Priority Wait List. • Responsible for marketing presentations, tours, and appointments for prospective residents; answer specific questions pertaining to the availability of units; coordinate Admission Committee materials; prepare and distribute brochures and correspondence; update and maintain leads list; process paperwork for priority wait list; prepare marketing reports; insure that all documents are complete pertaining to new sign-ups. • Ensure that potential applicants have the necessary information/forms to complete an application and maintain contact with people on leads list and on Priority Wait List. • Ensure that the appropriate unit is ready for occupancy on the date indicated, and work, in conjunction with other departments, to insure a smooth adjustment. • Maintain knowledge of existing and potential communities whose activities are likely to affect the marketing and growth of Brookhaven. • Produce and distribute newsletter to be used to promote the community. • Plan, implement and assess the effectiveness of social activities, direct mail pieces and other items to be used to enhance future resident's knowledge of the benefits of the community. • Plan and implement strategies designed to generate leads for Brookhaven. • Design and supervise the production of all advertising and assess the effectiveness of each. • Interact with other departments to create a smooth transition for new residents. • Obtain and share marketing trends data. • Keep the CEO informed as to all marketing activities and provide marketing reports to him/her. • Maintain a professional relationship with other retirement communities in the Boston area. • Maintain a confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure privacy is protected.
• Bachelors Degree, preferably in marketing or related field. • A minimum of seven years marketing management experience in a retirement community setting. • Knowledge of senior living concepts and trends. • Experience in customer relationship management. • Ability to use technology to improve operations. • Strong customer service, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Ability to deliver high quality services that maximize satisfaction. • Ability to oversee and develop a high performing team.
